What a practical kid!

Carter likes to spread all the pots and pans all over the kitchen floor. I came into the kitchen to find him in the skillet spinning around.
When I am in the kitchen usually making something Carter likes to come in and open the bottom of the stove and get in. I think he thinks it is one of his toys.

The bike

She tried really hard to ride this bike, but all she could do was get on it and stand. I think we will shortly be getting a bike soon.

Grandpa and Grandma Day Camp

The last night that we were at Jared's parents house they did a Grandpa and Grandma day camp were the Grandparents did a variety of different events for all the Grand kids such as an obstacle course, bubbles, writing with chalk on the side walk ,and watching a movie projected off the deck wall. Bailey decided to join in the festivities when they did chalk on the sidewalk. She has had a lot of practice on our dinning room table and walls. Carter just wanted to eat the chalk. What fun!

Bailey loved being outside

We always knew where Bailey was because she loved playing outside at Grandpa and Grandma Owens's house. She was either on the slide, trampoline, or the swing. What fun for any kid!

my little turtle in a swing.

We put Carter in the swing at Grandpa and Grandma Owens's house for the first time and he looked like a little turtle on bundled up in a shell with his head and legs sticking.

Hanging out with the boy cousins at the Zoo

Bailey had so much fun hanging out with her cousins at the Zoo.

Hogly Zoo on the Rhino

Daddy helping Bailey stay on the Rhino at the Zoo. I am not sure she knows what to think of this animal.

Cuddle Time

We were at Lagoon about to ride the Scrambler and having a little cuddle time right before the ride was about to go.

Transportation

We had to find an easy and effective way to transport the kids around Lagoon. Why not a wagon? Melissa, Jared's sister thought of the idea to keep the kids contained and to be able to get where we wanted to go faster.

Kiddie Ride

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Bailey loved the rides. Every time that she got off one of the rides she would cry because she wanted to stay on. Here she is with her girl cousin Alyssa riding the one of the kiddie rides at Lagoon.

Grandpa and Grandma Owens with the Grandkids

Here is a preview of a picture of the grand kids with Grandpa and Grandma Owens. We had these pictures taken during our Owens Family Reunion. It was quite a site to see all the parents trying to get the kids to look at the photographer and smile. We all were whistling, clapping our hands, and making funny faces just for a smile.

Movie Time

If you ever want a big group of kids to be still put them in front of a movie. Yeah, and the movie happened to be Toy Story. It was so funny because they were all so focused on the movie that they hardly moved.

Saying good bye to my mom

My mom was trying to get a family picture of all us, but Bailey was not going to have any of it.
We met my mom and aunt Amy at Mcdonalds on our way through to Utah. It was nice to see her one last time before she headed back to California.

Brotherly Love

What a great brother! Carter is helping push Bailey as she drives her little bike.

Carter saying Bye Bye

Carter is saying bye, bye. He even waves his hand. How cute!!

Water Fun

Tracy got the kids swimming suits. She also got us passes to the Lions Park pool in Nampa for our combined birthday celebration that she has thrown the last couple of years for Jared, Kayla, and me. It was fun to go with the Panikes for a couple of hours. Bailey loved going from one end of the pool to the other and she also had fun getting out walking around and getting back in. I am glad that the pool was only 2 feet deep, because she was determined to always get in on that end of the pool.
Carter loved getting in. I really had to keep an eye on him even though I was holding him. The whole time he kept wanting to wander and loved being on his belly.

Crib Time

Bailey must miss her crib, or maybe she is just needs a little time on her own. I came into Carter's room to find Bailey sitting in his crib. She is not able to get out of his crib. Go figure! She has gotten so good at being able to get in his crib that I found her in there with him while he was napping. Yeah, I wasn't to happy when he wouldn't go back to sleep.

My little monkey

We were at Tracy's house about to leave when Tracy decided to put Bailey in the tree. I thought she would be scared, but to my surprise she did not want to get out.

Yard Work

We leveled out the ground back along the fence. There was about 3 feet gap between the were the grass ended and the fence was that consisted of river rock, weeds, and piles of dirt that we smoothed out and put down sod. Our task now is to make sure the grass is watered enough so it stays green since we have had the irrigation turned off and on and the sprinklers have been also readjusted and moved back alongside the fence. What a task!

We finally decided to do a little landscaping alongside the pavement were the bark is by adding in seven little bushes that will get has big has two or three feet tall and about three feet wide and produce tons of little flowers on them. We actually had three trees here that were dying so we took them out a couple of years ago and have not put anything else there until now.

I am excited we finally started a garden. We had always talked about doing one, but have never gotten around to it until now, which was very spontaneous. It took us all day on Labor Day to just rototill the areas of ground where the plants were going to be with a shovel and rake. It actually took us three weeks from start to finish to pull weeds, smooth out the mounds of dirt, and sort through those weeds and put in a fence so the kids couldn’t get to the plants. Bailey thought the plants were flowers and decided to pick two of our cucumber plants. We originally had 4 cucumber plants. I am proud to say we now have 8 tomato plants, 4 zucchini plants, 2 cucumber plants, and 1 cilantro plant, which we have already used a little bit of the cilantro to season our tacos with. Yum!!!

Bonding time

Bailey will sometimes get her Sippy and come and lay alongside Carter while he is drinking his bottle. This is the only time they are usually both still. My cute babies!

Bailey singing to her favorite show Sesame Street

Bailey loves watching Sesame Street and every time that it comes on like clockwork around 10 am she loves to sing along to the song at the beginning of the show. Here is to hoping that she will like more shows besides Sesame Street and Toy story so we can have a variety of other shows to watch.

My sleeping beauty

It has been interesting this last past week since we converted Bailey's crib to a day bed. She seems to start out in her bed, but rarely does she end up there in the morning. We have found her sacked out on the floor a couple of times in her room right by her bed. One morning we found her in the living room sprawled out with a blanket and last night around 2 am she ended up in our bed between me and Jared. I couldn't resist to take a picture of my cute girl still sleeping on our bed the next morning.

Bailey expanding her vocabulary

It was funny all of the sudden Bailey and Carter were playing and Bailey said Read. Set. Go. I realized she picked this up when my mom was here at the beginning of the summer and every time my mom would play with the kids she would say this when Bailey and Carter were showing off their cute little antics.
