A pretty hair do.

I love, love, Pinterest. It is a website that you must be invited to were you can pin all your interests, which is anything and everything. It gives you step by step instructions and tutorials of how to make and do things. This is one of the cute hairstyles among many that I have found that I had to try. It is called the Water fall braid, because you leave hair out has you braid the hair.

Crazy boy!

This is always what he does when he is done eating whether there is a tray or not.

My picky eaters

My kids used to eat anything and everything, but now that they are toddlers who have become very picky eaters.

Bailey likes anything with meat, but will not eat the noodles off of spaghetti, the bun off a hamburger, or sometimes the tortilla from a taco. She also used to like peaches and pears, but will only spoon up the juice and won't touch the fruit. She does like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but will not eat the crust. She loves apples and oranges over applesauce and cheez-its and sometimes cookies. She likes to pick the frosting just about anything. She will eat anything that has to do with chocolate and loves candy.

Carter loves, loves, fries, but will hardly eat the hamburger, especially once he sees the fries. His most favorite fruit is bananas and will request one or two a day, if not more. He hardly will eat meat off of tacos and spaghetti. He also likes oranges and will eat the inner part of the apples and not the skin of the apple. He will eat most desserts, but will sometimes will not eat ice cream. He likes plain chocolate, but nothing with nuts. He loves candy.

We have had to swap different food items because Bailey loves meat and Carter likes the noodles on spaghetti and tortillas from tacos.

We are going to have to adopt him into our family.

We went and saw Brother Taylor last night after dropping off a meal from Tracy. He is one of the sweetest men, but very lonely. His wife died from stomach cancer 4 years ago and no family except an ex daughter in law that lives around the area. I think we are going to have to adopt him into our family. We had such a good time and loved hearing about his life on the farm, about his wife, and his love for football. (Jared was really excited about this.) I think Jared is already planning a visit to go over watch some football with him.

I am excited to go over again, but am trying to figure out somethings my kids can do so they are not so squirmy and wanting to get into everything in site. I may try taking over a portable DVD player and seeing how that works. If anyone else has any ideas please let me know.

Nursery routine

We were at the church last night at a reception and the kids were being really rowdy so Jared took them to the Nursery to play. Bailey and then Carter started unstacking the chairs and lining them up right next to each other. Bailey must have been ready for a snack because she told Jared that she needed a table right in the middle of the chairs and that she would like a snack. My smart kids.

Carter thinks this is his actual stroller

Carter has just loved this stroller that Bailey got for Christmas. He actually thinks that this is his actual stroller. He loves sitting in it. I am surprised that it is not broken yet. Will see what happens.

Human backpack

Bailey loves it when her dad does the backpack. He actually made up the name because he puts her over his shoulders and then she hangs down as he spins around and around.

New style

He has not figured out how to get his shirt off except for the one sleeve. I hope that this is not a sign that he soon will be stripping off all of his clothes.

Playing time

Bailey made a fort right underneath this bench we have in our living room. I noticed the other night she was putting all blocks together with the same color. What a smartie!

A great family in our ward.

It was nice to get more acquainted with the Zaharco family. It was fun to listen as Jared and both of them reminisced over mission stories. We had a really good time getting to know them a little better.

They are getting so big and changing so much!

They are getting so big!!! I remember how tiny they both were and how I was able to cradle them both in my arms. Now Bailey is 3 and Carter is 1 1/2. I could not imagine my life without them. I love being their mommy and seeing them grow and learn. Here is a few tidbits about Bailey and Carter these days.

Bailey

Bailey is considered my cuddle bug. She loves to snuggle up to Jared or me as we tickle her arms or her belly. She also likes to snuggle up to one of her many blankets. If she had it her way she would take her blanket wherever we go. Yeah, I would rather put up with the tantrums than having to wash and clean them every time we go out.

She is considered to be my drama queen. She will almost cry on demand. I told her she could not have anything else to eat until she ate what was on her plate. It took a little bit to manage a couple tears. I tried hard not to laugh.

She can be a little bossy with a little sass. I noticed lately that she likes to boss Carter around. She told Carter the other day that he needed to come play with her in her room. We also had Essie over and she kept telling Essie to smile when I was trying to take their picture.

She will perform for a crowd. She loves to sing and will ask to go through all the songs we know. She also likes to dance around in circles or going from one side of the room to the other.

She is my book worm. She loves to be read to and will also sit for a while and just look through books.

She is absorbing so much. We have been trying really hard to work with her words and sentences. For the most part she can tell you what she wants and has added on a few words here and there.

She loves to sing. She likes singing to Elmo and Super Why, which are her favorite shows. I also will sometimes catch her singing in her room as she is playing.

Carter

He is also my cuddle bug. He loves to give nice big hugs and loves to be held sometimes to the point were I am not able to get a lot done. He also likes to snuggle with his blanket and every time I get him out of bed that is one of the first things he grabs. It is funny because he will put his blanket around his neck or on his head and spin around and around. Yeah, he can sometimes be a little crazy when doing this because he can't see half of what he is doing.

He is my little instigator and can be a little too curious. He will try to get into anything within reach and will even put anything he can get into his mouth. We had a little scary moment when a little tide got on the floor and he decided to taste a little. Luckily it wasn't enough to do any harm. He also will climb on things. Bailey will sometimes follow his lead and do what he likes to do. They both like standing on the ledge and holding onto the bar in the bath tub. Yeah, scary!

He loves to read and be read to. It is so cute because he will sometimes say the same word for everything he sees.

He is all boy. He loves to tumble and wrestle and will crawl around on all fours as he plays with his cars and trucks.

He likes to have things around his neck. He will go in our room and grab my clothes because they are what he can reach and put them around his neck and spin around and around.

He loves music. He will stop whatever he is doing and will listen along to the music and loves to sing the songs we have rehearsed. I can sometimes hear him singing "Twinkle Twinkle" right before I get him up or when he is taking a bath. He also will sing along to "Super Why" or "Elmo".

He loves his shows. He almost demands to watch "Elmo" or "Super Why" and gets really excited when we look up movies on the Netflix because he thinks we are going to put on one of his favorite shows.

We are very privileged that Heavenly Father has enough trust in us to be able to parent and raise these two little beings.

Trying to be a big boy

Jared and I were sitting eating lunch and Carter decided to join us. He is getting to be such a big boy.

Clever girl

Bailey thought it would be clever to climb up on the dresser part of Carter's crib. My girl!

My rebelious boy!

He thought it was real clever to bounce up and down from the rails of his crib while I was putting vinyl poka dots on his wall. What a boy!

Carter being studious

He loves sitting on on his bench and being able to look through his books.

Taking control

I was watching Essie so Sam could go exercise and Bailey kept telling Essie to come play with her in her room. They were sitting on this bench and Bailey kept telling Essie to smile every time I took a picture.

My hairy boy

He was such a good boy as I cut his hair on dad's lap. He hardly moved. I tried to make it fast so it wouldn't get in his face, but it must have made him itch because he kept rubbing it all over his face. Poor boy!

My own fort

He thought this could be used as a fort to be able to read a book or two.

We get so hyper before bed

My kids must know when its bed time because they get so hyper by running around.

Make up song

We were being silly and made up a song by singing about those we loved. It must of made an impact on Bailey because later on that night she was singing it.

Infectious laugh

Carter got a kick out of Jared bounding play dough down on the table. Funny boy!

Saturday, January 14, 2012

She really cracks me up

We were getting ready for dinner and all of a sudden she starts bursting out into song. I am not sure were she learned it, because we have not really sang it.

Playing with the Leapster

Jared was helping Bailey with her Leapster she got for Christmas from her Grandma Owens. She would get really excited any time she would get the same shape or color. My little girl is growing up.
