A nice time with Grandpa

It was nice to have my dad come for close to a week. I have really enjoyed how our relationship as revolved into a friendship. Bailey and Carter really loved having Grandpa around especially since he took them to the Boise Aquarium and the Zoo. I hope to have some pictures of the Zoo soon to come.

Update on the bubs

He has figured out how to get out of his crib. I not sure how he did it because the door has been closed both times. I don't know if I am officially ready to change him to a toddler bed. He just seems to little still.

Girls can dream

She loves wearing my ring any chance that she gets to wear it. She loves putting it on her finger and twirling it around. What a girl thing to do.

Blue lips

Carter is like his mommy and loves pure sugar. I gave him a fun dip pack and he devoured it. He is all boy even with blue lips there is no way that he can be a girl.

Reading out loud

.

I love reading to my kids especially when I can see how much they are learning

Mimicking

Bailey and Carter were glued to the TV has Jared played one of his video games. I think that they thought he were a part of the game.

Speech Delay

They informed us that Bailey has a severe Receptive and Expressive Language delay so the information that she takes in does not always process correctly and comes out differently. She has a hard time expressing herself, because she is only using one or two words and is not able to get her point across. I have always know that she as seemed a little behind her peers, but I did not know the extent of how far behind she was or how to best help her. I have had a mixture of emotions of sadness because you never want anything to be wrong with your child. You want them to be like any other normal child and advance and do whatever they set their minds to.It is a relief to know she is getting the proper help she needs and her prognosis is good for developing normal speech and vocabulary. I am so grateful for my sweet Bailey that has come into our lives and has blessed us richly with her sunny dispostion and sweet spirit. I am so grateful that we live in a time where she can get the help she needs. My little angel!

Playing together

When they play they usually like to chase each other around the couch and topple one another as they wrestle. Bailey was trying to attack Carter while he does a body slam on her.

Your growing up to fast.

Jared decided to let Bailey listen to my Ipod when we were getting ready for bed. I was quite surprised to see that she seemed to like it. She kept dragging it from room to room when she wanted help changing the songs or putting the ear phones in her ears. You are growing up to fast. It is reassuring that you still like dolls, being read to, and still call me mommy. Technology has also come along way especially since I used to listen to a Walkman.

Good buddies

They are truly like brother like sister. They love each other, but also can get on each others nerves. I like to think of them mostly like this just hanging out together. I love them so much

He keeps me on my toes

This is what my day looks like most days. I always going behind Carter and picking up his messes. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Your silly

Bailey had fun playing "Down Low To Slow" and then Kayla would tickle her. Bailey thought she was pretty funny by telling Kayla she was silly followed with a couple more giggles.

Let's dance

They had just got done watching Toy Story and Bailey grabbed Carter's hand and said, "Dance Carter." It was so priceless to watch them go around and around in circles as they danced.

A tight bond

They have become really good friends. I love watching them interact together as they chase each other around the couch, as they follow each other while pushing their strollers, wrestle on top of one another, look for one another when they are not in the same room. Bailey always will say after school, "I need Carter." Or she will say, "Carter is sweeping (sleeping)." They have formed an everlasting bond between one another. I am so glad they will always have one another as friends. :)

Speech improvement

They have been giving us goals to work with her where we have to take one word and add another word to it. We also have her describe what will happen next when we read her a story. I can tell that Bailey is improving on her speech since starting school on February 13th. She has some set backs but then all of the sudden she will astonish me by saying a whole sentence. I was feeding her some pears and all of the sudden she said, "Mommy I love pears." She also will say, "I need milk." "I need applesauce." I need water." It is these moments that I cherish.

Peek a Boo

I love watching them play, especially when it is filled with laughter and lots of giggles. They were having a good time playing peek a boo while moving the shower curtain back and forth. I remember the days when life was carefree and fun, as we played school, house, made mud pies, and so forth.

My own little world

She setup all her dolls and bears in a circle around her and was talking amongst them. It was cute watching her even though I could not understand most of what she was saying except for a few words.

The facuet

Carter as suddenly had an interest in throwing things into the sink like this pink bear along with the magnets from the fridge.

Some big shoes to fill

Bailey has started to have a fascination with shoes. Every time that Tracy and Kayla come over she always has to put their shoes on and walk around. She also started bringing my shoes to me every time we are ready to go somewhere and if I don't put them on she will follow me until I do.

A human size doll

There is a bow in hair that you can't see along with a baby doll that she is snuggling with. She also had a hat on her head that fell off.
It was funny to see Bailey just laying here patiently has Bethany pretended she was her doll. She put a bow in Bailey's hair along with a hat on top of her head and a baby to snuggle with. She sat like this the whole time.

Owls can make you laugh

Carter was playing with daddy and the "See and Say" and whenever Jared would play the Owl sound for some reason it would make Carter laugh really hard. It was hard not to laugh right along with him.

Carter trying to act like a big boy!!

Carter is trying to be a big boy while eating cookies. He really wanted to eat with Bailey at the table. I still feel nervous having him sit at the table, because I feel like he going to fall of the chair. I am not sure he is ready for the big table yet.

The Caucus

Jared, Tracy, Kayla, and I had the privilege of going to our first Caucus here in Idaho. It was a neat experience to go and have a say by voting for who we wanted to run. Once it started at 7pm the doors were shut and there was no access in once you left. They gave us a token and called you down by sections to put your token in the bucket of your choice and then once everyone cast their vote they tallied all the votes. The first round Mitt Romney was in first place, but did not have 51 percent so we had to do a second round which Jared was able to stay and do. I had to get home to the kids. I was really excited to hear that Mitt Romney won. This was history in the making and I felt privileged to be a part of it.

I went into to check on Bailey and I found her on her knees has if she was praying, but she actually sleeping. I couldn't resist to get a picture of this.
